Terms of use
The rules for using teriacademy.com while the lessons are on a waitlist. Plain words, and not many of them.
Who we are
TeriAcademy is a small independent project that makes hand-drawn lessons on how things work. You can reach us at hello@teriacademy.com. By using this site you agree to these terms.
The waitlist
Joining is free, doesn't create an account and doesn't commit you to anything. You need to be 16 or older to join; if you're younger, ask a parent or guardian to sign up with their own email. We'll do our best to open on time, but dates, prices and the order of the lessons may change. How we look after your address is on the privacy page.
Using the site
Please use the site the way it's meant to be used: don't try to break into it or overload it, don't copy it in bulk with scripts or use it to train AI models, and don't sign other people up without their permission. We may remove sign-ups that look fake.
Our drawings and lessons
The lessons, drawings, films, Pip, and the TeriAcademy name and logo are ours. You're welcome to share links and screenshots for personal, non-commercial use. For anything else, ask us first.
Learning, not advice
Before a lesson is published, we check every fact in it against sources we've read ourselves. Still, lessons simplify, and mistakes can slip through. They're for learning, not professional advice: the heart lesson isn't medical advice, and the electricity lessons aren't a wiring guide. Please don't try anything dangerous at home. If you spot a mistake, tell us.
Other sites
We may link to other sites, such as our pages on YouTube, TikTok and X. Their own terms and privacy policies apply there.
No guarantees
We provide the site as it is and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses caused by using the site or by it being unavailable. We don't limit our liability where the law doesn't allow it, for example for fraud or for harm caused by our negligence. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the terms in force are always the ones on this page.
